The Riverside brings contemporary dining to the banks of the River Darwen, with seasonal menus built around carefully sourced British produce.
Awarded two AA Rosettes, the restaurant offers everything from relaxed weekend brunch and Sunday roasts to beautifully presented dishes for date nights, celebrations and special occasions. A children’s menu, vegetarian choices and dishes suitable for different dietary requirements are also available.
The bar offers cocktails, wine, premium spirits, fine ales and a relaxed setting for drinks, light bites or a catch-up with friends. Outdoor seating beside the river provides another place to unwind when the weather behaves.
The building was originally known as The Swan and was rebuilt north of the river in 1907. More recently remembered as Uncle Jack’s, it has been carefully restored and reimagined while retaining original stonework, brickwork and large historic windows.
Settle in for a proper Sunday roast, with carefully cooked meats, seasonal vegetables, rich gravy and all the trimmings.
