Number 1 Coffee Shop is a friendly independent café on Croft Street, founded by Steve and Jo and built around great food, good coffee and genuine community spirit.
The menu includes cooked breakfasts, jacket potatoes, pies, paninis, toasties, sandwiches, salads and homemade cakes, alongside coffee, tea and cold drinks. Whether you are stopping for breakfast, meeting a friend or grabbing lunch to take away, you can expect relaxed surroundings and welcoming service.
Number 1 is a Community Interest Company with inclusivity and local people at the heart of everything it does.
Alongside volunteering, training and community activities, the café provides space for local makers and creatives to sell products they have made or designed. It is somewhere to enjoy a brew, discover something locally made and feel part of a genuinely welcoming community. The café’s wider mission centres on building skills, confidence, connections and opportunities for people across Darwen.
Number 1 supports more than one independent local business, with products made and designed by people from the area available alongside its food and drinks.
